A ‘groovy’ time was had by all at this years SALA festival at the Clayton Bay Community Hall.
The theme this year was ‘Kombi Bus’ fun which included a Kombi themed photo booth with costumes supplied by the very groovy Cheryl Butlin.
The Clayton Bay mosaic group led by the lovely Pat Hawkins were given a wooden Kombi Bus cut out to mosaic and it was great to see so many quirky and artistic interpretations of the design.
The hall was adorned with many different types of amazing artwork from both experienced and emerging artists and visitors were clearly impressed with the variety and quality of the exhibits.
As with any event such as this, the success is due only to the amazing hard work of the many volunteers including the set up of the hall, providing snacks and lunch in the kitchen, working on meeting and greeting customers, live demonstrations by artists, handling finances, advertising, cleaning up and so the list goes on. So a BIG thank you to all of the amazing volunteers. Well done TEAM!
