A friend of Ros, Marian from W.A.is now a home knitter (in W.A) and will be helping the Yarners to knit or crochet orange (any shade) flowers for a project that Vickie the MOSHCC Volunteer Co-Ordinator has given the group.
The aim of the project is to decorate a banner for the next Harmony Day in March 2026 with orange knitted or crocheted flowers. They will be similar to the purple flowers Just Yarning made 2 years ago as a wreath for the animals sacrificed during the world wars. The group will still be making blankets etc as well as the flowers.
So if you have any orange wool you would like to donate to the Harmony Day project, we will be happy to take it, or you might like to become a
home knitter/crocheter !
