After a receiving an honourable review by the Stickybeaks Men’s Group the WOW Ladies embarked on the historic journey to Sleeps Hill Tunnel exhibition hosted by David Munro, property owner and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
The Tunnels lived up to expectation. A trip down memory lane for some, a history lesson for others and an enchanting insight into one local artist’s depiction of the original use, passenger train and railway line. To the transition to outside enterprise, mushroom farming and now exhibition hall.
All thanks to the vision of one Family, a true success, and a place for visitors to enjoy for years to come.

Lunch, again by recommendation of the Stickybeaks crew, meant we visited the La Crema Reserve Roastery, St Marys, where we were enjoyed a lovely lunch, served by friendly staff, shopping in the gift shop and after a little confusion, underwent a tour of the roasting process.
I am not sure what the Stickybeaks men got up to whilst on their visit, needless to say, you were remembered by the Staff! When the WOW ladies said they were from Milang the doors opened, and an informative tour went underway. A takeaway to mark the tour given, in the form of a Columbia raw coffee bag / sack to commemorate the occasion received.
Despite the weather looking a little inclement in the beginning, the day proved a success, laughs, conversation and overall an enjoyable time was had by all. It was lovely to see the faces of our regular ladies, a returned face, Jill and a new adventurer, Leonie, joining out trip this month. A full bus – Woo Hoo – we loved having you with us and hope you will join us again soon.
Please note if residing in Strathalbyn, this is no obstacle as we are regularly stopping to pick up in Strathalbyn, at the Football Oval gates, Ashbourne Rd, activity location dependent. Please enquire when booking a trip.
WOW is all about the enjoyment of all Ladies and I encourage you all to jump on board and mention to a friend, the more the merrier.
