The Milang Bowling Club celebrated the 2024-2025 Season Open Day on Saturday 31 August with a competitive friendly fours event and a sausage sizzle. In windy conditions, Club President Brian Patterson welcomed the large group of players and spectators and introduced new members and players: Arnold Bogusz, Paul Whitham-Richmond, Jenny Barton, Bev Mullins, Peter & Colleen Jacobs, Kym & Julie Whitcher. The President expressed confidence for success in the regional competition with the Club’s teams strengthened by the inclusion of new members most of whom are experienced bowlers. Current Ladies and Men’s Club Champions Lee Robinson and Glenn Best rolled the first bowls to open the 2024-2025 Season.
The first of several internal club championships begin 05 October with the 100-Up event starting at 10 am. The regional Saturday Open Pennant Competition starts 12 October. Thursday Lady’s Pennant Competition begins on 31 October. Spectators are always welcome. Pennant Competition teams practice sessions are at 4 pm Tuesdays. Social Bowls commence Tuesday 15 October at 5.30 pm. These Social Bowls fun sessions are open to anyone, especially new residents and juniors who would like to learn to bowl or improve their game enjoying fun practice or introductory mentoring.
The Milang Bowling Club’s famous Meal Nights began on Friday 6th September and are held on the 1st and 3rd Friday monthly with bookings absolutely essential.
