The Milang Bowling Club has been busy during winter with greenkeeper extraordinaire Greg Bowen overseeing repairs and maintenance to the facility while continuing upgrade work on both the club bowling Greens which have been closed all winter. The main A-Green was cored and top-soiled in June and is now looking very nice. Club members are enthusiastic about bowling on the upgraded surface when the green is reopened. The B-Green is also looking very good after a lot of tender loving care administered by the greenkeeper. MBC Greenkeeper Greg Bowen was a finalist for the Bowls SA Volunteer Green Keeper of the Year 2023-2024 award.

Apparently Brian bravely paired with novice Peter Miller who despite bowling all winter has shown no improvement and has been asked to help with club maintenance as an alternative.
