Well the third Tuesday in the month comes around quickly and the Stickybeak’s were on the road again.
Numbers were down presumably because of lack of confidence in the relief driver so we set off in the Preus with the mandatory Toll Gate coffee break.
Vickie did a great job in organizing tickets to the Adelaide Museum’s -Treasures of the Viking Age – An exhibition of 600AD Viking treasures recently un-earthed in the UK.
Fair to say the last time any of us had visited the Adelaide Museum would have been 50 years ago but we went along with an open mind and were not disappointed as it also gave us the opportunity to wander through the rest of the Museum. However, the group declined the offer by the Tour Guide to also visit the SA Art Gallery, too highbrow for the boys.
We then headed off to the Arkaba Hotel Parkside for an over-priced Parmi and a beer and then onto the high light of the tour, a soft serve at McDonalds. Arriving safe and sound back home around 4pm after an off-road diversion/excursion to drop Mel off at his Strathalbyn rural retreat.
Good times had by all.
Speaking of good times don’t forget to book for our next Stickybeaks tour on Tuesday the 16th of July 2025.
Vickie has scheduled in a visit to Bend Racing at Tailem Bend. Should be fun.
